Get Involved

The Fulton County Indiana Republican Committee is the local governing body of the Republican Party within the county. It’s responsible for organizing the party at the grassroots level and supporting Republican candidates and voters locally. 

They’re basically the local engine of the Republican Party—handling everything from candidates and campaigns to volunteers and voter engagement at the county level.  

The committee is always happy to welcome new volunteers to help with this work and appreciates our current volunteers for all their help and for the many hours they 
have invested
Some of the work the committee does includes the following:

Organize Elections & Precincts
  • Recruit and support precinct committeemen and women (the local representatives in each voting precinct)
  • Help staff polling places and coordinate election-day volunteers
  • Work to increase voter turnout for Republican candidates
Candidate Support & Recruitment
  • Recruit and support precinct committeemen and women (the local representatives in each voting precinct)
  • Help staff polling places and coordinate election-day volunteers
  • Work to increase voter turnout for Republican candidates
Campaigning & ​Messaging
  • Promote Republican values and platform locally
  • Share information about candidates and issues with voters
  • Organize:
  • Door-to-door canvassing
  • Phone banking
  • Community outreach events
Fundraising
  • Raise money to support local candidates and party operations
  • Host events like dinners, raffles, or Lincoln Day dinners
Party Governance
  • Elect a County Chair and Vice Chair
  • Fill vacancies for certain local elected offices (important function in Indiana)
  • Participate in broader party decisions with the Indiana Republican Party
  • If an elected Republican official leaves office early, the county committee (precinct members) votes to appoint a replacement.
Community Pres​ence
  • Represent the Republican Party at local events, fairs, and meetings
  • Build relationships with community leaders and organizations
